Air Canada Flight Attendant Uniforms from 1937 to 2012

TorontoLife, Mar 6, 2012 - Ever wonder what flight attendants and pilots looked like in the 1930s? We were kind of curious, so we took to the Air Canada hangar to check out a uniform retrospective (after we checked out their awesome new airliner). Over the years, Air Canada staff have been dressed like the Jetson family, hip moms who still go to nightclubs and the title character from ’60s–’70s sitcom That Girl. The Airline: Ansett Australia and Vintage Uniform

Ansett Australia, Ansett, Ansett Airlines of Australia, or ANSETT-ANA as it was commonly known in earlier years, was a major Australian airline group, based in Melbourne. The airlines flew domestically within Australia and to destinations in Asia during its operation in 1996. The airline was placed into administration in 2001 after suffering financial collapse, and subsequent organised liquidation in 2002, subject to deed of company arrangement. Ansett operated for 66 years and 11 days (4th March, 2002) after its first takeoff from Hamilton, Victoria.
