Firefly first Boeing 737-400 in Mar 2011



Firefly has unveiled its new fleet of Boeing 737-400 aircraft on 26 March 2011, at the Sultan Ismail International Airport.
Commenting on the effect for the airline’s fleet, managing director Eddy Leong remarked, “With Johor being designated as Firefly’s southern hub for the 737-400 operations, Firefly’s East Malaysia connections will be a precursor to further its expansion into more regional routes. Johor is a significant hub for Firefly to tap into as our target market will now expand to mass passengers from the southern region, Singapore, Batam and transit passengers in East Malaysia.
